Jean-Denis’s choice
For three years, Maud Bernos crossed the ports and cities, immortalizing the faces of 39 sailors, men and women on their return from the sea.
The idea was to take pictures of them just after the arrival, to capture them marked by what they had just experienced with their tired and deep eyes.
A book containing all the images has been published by Editions Gallimard under the title “All the sailors have blue eyes”.
