President Reagan and The Queen at Windsor Castle were photographed in June 1982 on his first official visit as US President. He was only in UK for 48 hours and went for an 8 mile ride with the Queen.
“There was a photocall at the castle but with the morning mist I stayed on when all the other photographers left to catch this definitive back view of the 2 of them riding off into the mist. I have not seen another photograph like this as all the published ones were from the from showing their faces. I realized that from behind they were just as identifiable and it made a much more atmospheric photograph.”
